Lists all emails, phone numbers and postal addresses on this website.

Cookies

Detect any cookies set by this website, and how they are used.

CSS usage

Checks whether pages are using CSS or tables for layout. CSS layouts are generally best practice.

Design list

List and display the different designs used by a website.

Domain name

Check that variations of the domain name are not being used by domain squatters. Display the Whois information for the domain (when it expires, who owns it).

File usage

Check the types, distribution and sizes of all downloadable files on the website, usually the biggest factor in how fast it is.

Flash usage

Check if Flash is used appropriately, for example does the website handle users without Flash installed.

Fonts

Check that the fonts and font sizes used are appropriate for the web and flexible in size.

Popups

Check for any popup windows, and whether they open themselves or are opened by visitors. Self-opening popups are blocked by most browsers.

Printability

Check whether pages appear optimised for printing.

Readability

Reports on how easy the text on each page is to read and understand (English pages only). Uses the Flesch Kincaid and Gunning Fog metrics.

Redirections

Check for client-side redirections, which are unnecessary and break the use of the Back button.

Search engine placement

Check the placement of the website against competitors for a specified search engine phrase. Supports a large international selection of Google, Yahoo and MSN search engines.

Site Structure

Display a summary of how many clicks away pages are from the homepage, and the resulting site structure.

Spelling

Check the spelling of text in this website (currently UK and American English only).

Spiderability

Ensure this website can be effectively ‘spidered’, i.e. each page can be reached by following the links from other pages. Non-spiderable sites are virtually invisible to search engines and highly inaccessible.

URL chopping

Check that web addresses (URLs) can be chopped and still work, e.g. chopping www.example.com/news/articles to www.example.com/news. Many search engines and users do this.

URL format

Check that web addresses (URLs) used on the site are clean and user-friendly.

Measure how well optimised the website is for specific keywords. This has a huge effect on performance in search engines.

Check that the website complies with W3C standards.
